I had put off having a website design for a variety of reasons familiar to most people.
- I didn't know where to start
- I wasn't sure how to condense what I had to say into a few pages
- I had no idea what 'look' I wanted to achieve and browsing other people's websites gave me absolutely no insight whatsoever.
I knew what 'look' I didn't want but this did not help to direct me to the 'look' I did want.
Enter David and Marius...
From the beginning I knew this was going to work. We sat down and had an informal chat, not about what I was selling, but about me. They are both highly intuitive and quickly picked up on what I was trying to achieve.
At the next meeting they presented initial ideas of the overall look of the website. I was amazed at how accurately they had interpreted what I wanted to say.
It was apparent that they had a clear understanding of my tone of voice and the way I express things. We discussed the ideas further. Marius had presented imagery that sparked off my creativity and led me to re-think a lot of the information that I had written.
The final outcome was a creative collaboration. I re-wrote and condensed a lot of the material. This was much easier now that I had some clear direction. The text and images came together and the clarity emerged.
Trying to be creative in a vacuum is difficult and daunting. If you are waiting until you have a 'big idea' or a flash of inspiration, you could be waiting a long time. Co-creation helps the process along no end.
And if you want people to collaborate with, you can't get better than these guys...
